2018 World Para Ice Hockey Championships C-Pool

Finland will host the 2018 World Para Ice Hockey Championships C-Pool on 6–8 of November in Vierumäki. There will be three teams in the tournament – host team Finland and the Para Ice Hockey newcomers Australia and China. Winner of the tournament will be promoted to the B-Pool for 2019.

The matches will be played in the Vierumäki Ice Arena. Accommodation will be in the Vierumäki Resort Hotel near the Ice Arena.

Tuesday 6th November

  • 15.00 First match: Australia–Finland, Vierumäki Ice Arena

Wednesday 7th November

  • 15.00 Second match: China–Australia, Vierumäki Ice Arena

Friday 8th November

The regular game shall consist of three 15 minute actual time periods and two intermissions. The teams shall change ends for each period. If, at the end of the game, the score for both teams is equal, the game shall be prolonged by a five-minute ‘Sudden Victory’ overtime period. If no goal is scored in the ‘Sudden Victory’ overtime period, ‘Penalty Shot Shootout’ shall apply, first three players from each team and then, if the game is still tied, one player at a time.
